We have read about the existence of the caveman and woman in our history books and sometimes in the movies and presentation of the museums. Whenever we see these people, the first thing that usually attracts everybody’s attention is their unique sense of dressing which makes them a rare sight. We civilized people think that we always need to cover up ourselves with some dress material but these cavemen and women thought differently.

They thought that clothing was required to save themselves from the sun and the adversities of nature and to protect their bodies. They had no real sense of style in those days. They made crude clothing out of the barks of trees and with grass. Those clothes had a unique way to be made. They had a sense of style as well as uniqueness. Their dresses added a tinge of personality to the nomadic people of those days. They were the ones who initiated the sense of dressing for us.

Dressing enhances our personality, but for them it was a need to protect and cover them up. They made the dresses to cover their vital organs from the adversities of nature. They were intelligent and innovative to a great extent. There were no designers yet they created designs that laid the foundations for today’s work. Those dresses were designed to allow free movements of limbs so that it would not hinder their movement when they had to hunt or when they had to run away from something.

Their dresses were designed to provide comfort during the summer months when the sun was bright. It allowed air to circulate freely. On the other hand it provided warmth during the cold winter months as it was made of the fur of the animals they hunted for food. So we can say that they were intelligent enough to find means to have comfort in the things they wore.
