Lily Allen to play secret UK Fancy Dress gig
It has been revealed that pop starlet Lily Allen is to perform at a secret gig in London on May 11. What's more, the star plans to indulge in one of her other favourite pastimes at the show - fancy dress.According to NME, the show will be one in the series of Secret Shows from MySpace and the venue will not be unveiled until the day of the performance. It has, however, already been revealed that the show will have a fancy dress theme of London Tube stations - one that the star chose herself.
Lily Allen has long displayed an interest in dressing up. The songstress frequently dons fancy dress costumes for her gigs and earlier this year revealed her predilection for dressing up at home too when she posted photos of herself and a friend in animal costumes on micro blogging site Twitter.
The young star has also been announced as the judge for this year's fancy dress extravaganza at Bestival, one of the UK's leading music festivals held in the Isle of Wight in September. Visitors to the late summer festival are invited to reach for the skies in a Space Odyssey theme for 2009.
The news of Lily's most recent fancy dress show comes just days after the star announced her biggest UK tour to date. She's also recently completed a US tour, as she attempts to take her British brand of pop across the Atlantic.
